STG wins EPA converged communications deal

STG Inc. won a five-year, $5 million contract to provide IT and telecommunications for the Environmental Protection Agency.
Specifically, STG will design, develop, operate and maintain the voice, data and video systems for the EPA's Office of Transportation and Air Quality Laboratory Operations Division, Data and Quality Management Group in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The office protects public health and the environment by controlling air pollution from motor vehicles, engines and their operating fuels, and by encouraging travel choices that minimize emissions.
The award was made under the company's Veterans Affairs Global Information Technology Support Services prime contract.
For the last five years, STG has provided the EPA with telecommunications support services, including analysis, design and implementation of large-scale improvements in the agency's voice, data and video communications systems.
STG of Reston, Va., ranks No. 61 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
