The agreement gives computer and software reseller GTSI a more streamlined process for providing government customers with SGI's Linux OS-based solutions for real-time computing, visualization and complex data management, according to an SGI press release.

It also gives Mountain View, Calif.-based SGI and its resellers easy access to GTSI's government contracts and buying vehicles, expertise in government sales administration and knowledge of government customer requirements.

GTSI of Chantilly, Va., had 851 employees as of Feb. 25, and reported 2004 revenue of slightly more than $1 billion. It is No. 19 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors, ranked according to their information technology revenue.
