MTC wins Air Force support group work

Over the next 12 months, MTC Technologies Inc. will assist the Air Force and some foreign militaries with a wide range of IT support and management services.

MTC of Dayton, Ohio, won a one-year, $5.3 million contract with the Air Force Aeronautical Systems Center to provide services and support to its Simulator Systems Group.

MTC will perform acquisition logistics, financial management, configuration and data management, administrative support, security management, test and evaluation management, engineering support and subject matter expertise, among other services.

The company will serve the Air Force and some countries to which the United States sells military products by participating on integrated product teams, analyzing problems, defining alternative solutions, offering recommendations and writing reports.

This is the sixth consecutive year that MTC has been retained to support the Simulator Systems Group. The MTC Air Force Group's Systems Management Division will manage the work.

The Simulator Systems Group makes training solutions for the U.S. military and other countries to help prepare troops for combat situations.

MTC delivers systems engineering, intelligence and IT military solutions. It has about 2,500 employees and had annual sales of about $273 million in fiscal 2004. The company ranks No. 59 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
