LANDesk buys NewRoad Software

LANDesk Software, a provider of integrated systems and security management solutions, acquired NewRoad Software Inc., a Jacksonville, Fla.-based company that develops and sells business process management and workflow automation solutions.

LANDesk will integrate NewRoad Software technologies with its systems and security management products, officials from the Salt Lake City, Utah, company said. NewRoad's Autobahn product helps manage real-time changes to any business process and is used for change-intensive industries such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, government and manufacturing.

The integration of NewRoad's business process management capabilities to LANDesk's existing product line will help customers automate, document and optimize business processes, LANDesk said.

In addition to increasing IT efficiency and effectiveness, automating process management helps organizations achieve compliance with regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes Oxley.

The NewRoad technologies will be available both as stand-alone and add-on products for LANDesk products. LANDesk will support NewRoad customers through the LANDesk worldwide customer support organization.
