Hansen nabs Boston inspectional services CRM deal
Hansen Information Technologies Inc. won a contract from the city of Boston to deploy a citizen relationship management solution for its Inspectional Services Department.
Hansen Information Technologies Inc. won a $3.4 million contract from the city of Boston to deploy a citizen relationship management solution for one of its agencies.
Under the contract, Hansen of Rancho Cordova, Calif., will install a CRM solution for Boston's Inspectional Services Department that can handle building permits, code enforcement and licensing solutions for the municipality.
The first project goal is to stand up a centralized call center within the department using the Hansen 8 customer service product. In conjunction with the initial implementation, Hansen will work with the city to construct a master addressing and contact application that uses the Hansen 8 addressing, contact and property management data structure.
Hansen 8 is intended to help the department cut its reliance on paper-driven processes, shorten permit and licensing turnaround times, provide activity status and financial reporting capabilities, and handle constituent services in a more streamlined manner.
The Inspectional Services Department comprises five regulatory divisions: building and structures, code enforcement and environmental services, health, housing, and weights and measures. In fiscal 2005, the department has collected $25 million in revenue from processing nearly 100,000 permit and licensing applications.
Hansen is a privately held company that offers Web-based, software solutions for a variety of business functions. It has about 250 employees worldwide.
