California IT and engineering solutions company ITS Corp. has acquired the federal sector support services business of Noesis Inc. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Noesis of Manassas, Va., is a privately owned company that specializes in systems engineering, information science and technical program management services for the federal government. Its federal sector support services unit is in Arlington, Va., and has more than 100 employees. It anticipates 2005 revenue of $32 million.
The acquisition is part of ITS' strategy to buy carefully selected companies that will broaden its capabilities and federal, intelligence and homeland security client bases.
The deal will expand ITS' presence within the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and Homeland Security Department, while adding new relationships with the Office of Naval Research, National Science Foundation and other civil agencies, said Thomas Sundling, president and chief executive officer of ITS, in a statement.
Guy Myslivy, a long-time Noesis executive, will manage the business unit for ITS. Richard Martin, president and CEO of Noesis, will serve as CEO of the rest of Noesis' holdings and personnel combined with Defense Holdings Inc. Noesis acquired the defense firm DHI in October. Noesis will move its remaining assets under the DHI banner.
