The Labor Department is looking for offers to host Web sites and components related to its GovBenefits program, an online portal that gives citizens access to government benefit eligibility information.
In a recent sources-sought notice, the Labor Department said it plans to award an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity task order for one year with four option periods.
The winning company will host two Web sites, GovBenefits.gov and GovLoans.gov, as well as the core components related to the overall GovBenefits program. Both portals are e-government initiatives. Companies must respond to the notice by Dec. 2.
At GovBenefits.Gov, users fill out online questionnaires, and the Web site matches benefits programs with their needs, and offers guidance on how users can apply. The site thus far has resulted in 4 million citizen referrals to benefit programs, according to the Labor Department.
