SYS Technologies wins Navy deal for tech systems support
SYS Technologies Inc. has a contract with the Navy to evaluate the warfighting capabilities of the Space and Naval Warfare System Command
SYS Technologies Inc. won a five-year, $20.8 million contract from the Navy to evaluate the warfighting capabilities of the Space and Naval Warfare System Command, the company said this week.
Under the contract, SYS of San Diego will provide systems engineering support, architecture reviews and assessments, requirements analysis, and system and capability-based assessment support.
The company will evaluate the Navy's warfighting capabilities and vulnerabilities and develop analyses for the Navy to ensure that its role fits with the U.S. National Military Strategy. The strategy sets the strategic direction of the armed forces and describes ways to achieve the military objectives required to protect the country.
SYS will perform assessments and requirements analyses to support the Navy's operational construct and architectural framework, known as Forcenet, and Space and Electronic Warfare engineering projects. To achieve this, the company will use advanced modeling, simulation and analysis.
The company provides information and wireless communication systems for the departments of Defense and Homeland Security and commercial sectors.
