Multimax lands Air Force network-centric work

Multimax Inc. won two task orders under the Air Force Network-Centric Solutions contract, company officials announced. The potential value of the orders is $37.6 million over the initial performance period and two option periods ending in 2008.

Under the new task orders, Multimax of Largo, Md., will continue leading a team providing on-site services supporting 24,000 users at organizations such as the Air Force Materiel Command, the Aeronautical Systems Center, the Air Force Research Laboratory, the 88th Communications Group and the 88th Air Base Wing.

The Network-Centric Solutions contract is a five-year, $9 billion acquisition initiative to provide the Air Force, the Defense Department, and other federal agencies with the a range of IT, networking, telephony and security services, solutions and products.

Multimax is a Network-Centric Solutions prime contractor. The company has provided IT services to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base since 2000.
