GSA issues RFQ for assessment of IT procurement program

The General Services Administration has issued a performance-based request for quotes to assess the GSA Preferred program, formerly known as 3GS.

The RFQ requires an analysis of GSA Preferred and how it integrates and interfaces with other systems, as well as determination whether another program is preferable. The recommendation should be complete by January 2006.

GSA Preferred, launched in mid-2004, is an IT modernization project to replace out-of-date systems that track the finances, project status and procurement cycles of IT business within GSA's Federal Technology Service. It is intended to result in more efficient work with customer agencies and industry to achieve better service and cost savings.
