MPC wins state supply contract
MPC Computers has become a certified supplier of Sun Microsystems products for an association of states to supply local governments with computer systems.
MPC Computers has become a certified supplier of Sun Microsystems Inc. products for an association of states to supply local governments with computer systems and other products, said officials from the Nampa, Idaho-based company.
The Western States Contracting Alliance certified MPC as a supplier. The alliance is a coalition of 14 states in the Western United States that pool their purchasing power for certain acquisitions.
MPC will provide desktops, notebooks, servers, storage products and peripherals through the contract. Besides MPC products, the company will also supply Sun products, including the Solaris Operating System. The value of the contract was not available.
Other Sun products available through MPC include workstations and service contracts.
MPC is ranked No. 39 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
