Avineon wins HUD task-order contract
Avineon Inc. won a task order contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide software development and maintenance services.
Avineon Inc. won a task order contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide software development and maintenance services for one of the department's programs, said officials from the Alexandria, Va.-based company.
The contract is worth more than $8 million over three years, according to Avineon officials.
The work is to be done for HUD's Public and Indian Housing Physical Assessment Sub-System. Avineon won another contract from HUD earlier this year, officials added.
The HUD system provides a way to assess the physical condition of properties in HUD's portfolio. Avineon will re-engineer the system from the current ColdFusion environment to use Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition technology, said Avineon officials.
