In a deal that will help it bust the $1 billion revenue barrier, ManTech International Corp. is buying Gray Hawk Systems Inc., Alexandria, Va., for $100 million.Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech had 2004 revenue of $842.4 million. Privately held Gray Hawk Systems, which provides intelligence services to homeland security, law enforcement, defense and intelligence agencies, had 2004 revenue of approximately $70 million and estimates 2005 revenue will be $90 million, ManTech said. The all-cash acquisition is expected to close within a month, ManTech said. Privately owned McDonald Bradley Inc. is acquiring Infodata Systems Inc. for $7.56 million, about $1.3 million above Infodata's current market capitalization. Infodata of Herndon, Va., is publicly traded as an over-the-counter stock, and will become private after the transaction closes, likely by July 31.Infodata specializes in open solutions for enterprise content management. The deal is expected to assist McDonald Bradley, also of Herndon, in its Pentagon and intelligence business. Federal market research firm epipeline inc. of Herndon, Va., acquired B2Gsource Inc., an online service that tracks state and local government contracts. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.B2Gsource of Austin, Texas, is an online subscription service that offers its customers bid notification services for contracting opportunities.Crossbow Ventures, a West Palm Beach, Fla., venture capital firm, was epipeline's main investor in the cash and stock deal.In a move to boost its emergency management offerings, Alion Science and Technology Corp. bought 12 percent of VectorCommand Ltd. of Hampshire, U.K.The investment gives Alion of McLean, Va., exclusive rights to sell VectorCommand emergency management software products in the United States and other selected countries.The value of the investment was not disclosed.Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego completed its acquisition of intelligence surveillance IT provider Object Sciences Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Acquisition of the Alexandria, Va.-based Object Sciences enhances SAIC's ability to support some of its key customers in intelligence, systems integration and analysis. Further, it positions SAIC to offer total systems solutions in the national security market.
