DHS taps SecureInfo for certification software

Information security solutions company SecureInfo Corp. won a $4 million contract from the Homeland Security Department to provide certification and accreditation software solution and consulting services, the company said Tuesday.

SecureInfo will offer its Risk Management Systems software to DHS to establish and apply consistent regulatory requirements and security controls across its 22 agencies. SecureInfo's solution will automate many aspects of NIST 800-37 certification and accreditation process. It also will generate reports for Federal Information Security Management Act compliance.

It will allow DHS "to centrally maintain an enterprise view of its IT security risk posture," said Steve Kiser, SecureInfo's president and chief executive officer.

Based in San Antonio, SecureInfo makes solutions that secure computer networks for the federal government and commercial customers.
