Find opportunities — and win them.

The Army is expected to release a request for proposals for its $20 billion IT Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract by the end of March.

The Army is expected to release a request for proposals for its $20 billion IT Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract by the end of March.

Since late last year, the Army Small Computer Program and the Army Contracting Agency's Information Technology, E-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center have been developing the contract vehicle requirements.

ITES-2S will pick up where the first ITES contract left off by promoting performance-based contracting that supports the service's enterprise infrastructure goals, according to Kevin Carroll, the Army's program executive officer for enterprise systems.

ITES-2S will be a nine-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity deal for technology products and services. Under ITES-2S, the Army is expected to make four awards for full and open competition and reserve up to four awards for small businesses.

The Army is expected to award the ITES-2S contract by the end of June, around the same time it awards a contract under its Army Knowledge Online portal.
