CACI wins New Jersey emergency management contract

CACI International Inc. won a $2.8 million follow-on contract from New Jersey's attorney general to expand the state's crisis management system to all counties and agencies, the company said yesterday.
E Team, Inc., a Los Angeles provider of crisis management software, is supplying the solution, and CACI will complete the initial and ongoing incident management system deployments.
New Jersey is using the solution to extend its crisis management capabilities and to share incident data among state agencies. It deployed the solution in 2004 for the state's Emergency Operations Center and the Republican National Convention and during floods in four counties.
CACI of Arlington, Va. will manage the project, implement and deploy the software, provide training, develop exercises and supply technical support for the project expansion during the first months of 2005.
The expanded systems will connect agencies and departments throughout the state to manage everyday incidents and large-scale events. It will link the state police's Office of Emergency Management with New Jersey's 21 counties and state agencies, including the Health and Senior Services, Military and Veterans' Affairs, Environmental Protection and Transportation departments as well as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the New Jersey National Guard.
CACI employs approximately 9,500 people and had 2004 revenue of more than $1.1 billion. It is No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
