Alion acquires ManTech division

Alion Science and Technology Inc., McLean, Va., has acquired ManTech Environmental Technology Inc.

METI does research and provides support services in environmental and life sciences for the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Institutes of Health, and Defense, Energy and Homeland Security departments among others.

METI will operate as the Life and Environmental Technology Division, part of Alion's Technology Solutions Group.
