CACI wins Navy logistics work

CACI International Inc. won a contract potentially worth $84.6 million from the Navy to provide logistics and training support in automated supply management for designated Navy and Marine Corps activities, the Defense Department said yesterday.


The contract is for one base year at $15.9 million, plus four one-year options. Under the indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract, CACI Inc.-Federal of Chantilly, Va., will provide on-site assistance and training, formal training and database validation, correction and reconciliation services.


CACI will perform half the work in San Diego, 45 percent of the work in Norfolk, Va., and five percent in Cherry Point, N.C. The company will provide services to Navy and Marine Corps units worldwide, both deployed and non-deployed. The work is expected to be completed in December 2005.


Arlington, Va.-based CACI employs approximately 9,400 people and had revenue of more than $1.1 billion for its fiscal year ended June 30, 2004. It is No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
