ManTech wins Army medical center support

ManTech International Corp. won a five-year, $19.3 million contract to provide engineering and technical services to a key Army medical facility, the company announced today.

ManTech of Fairfax, Va., will offer an array of services such as systems engineering, programming and network management to the Information Management Division of Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Other services include database and local area network administration, Web support and hardware maintenance.

Brooke is the Army's only level-one trauma center. The facility has a teleconferencing capability that provides digital transfer of clinical data such as vital signs, X-rays and patient images between Brooke and other medical facilities.

It also has the Army's largest medical diagnostic imaging system, which can electronically store, transmit and digitally display plain film, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance and ultrasound images at computer work stations.

The company has provided technology support to the facility since 1997.

ManTech offers IT and technical services to the federal government. It has more than 5,300 employees and annual sales of $701.6 million. The company ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
