Intergraph wins Fort Bragg E911 deal

Intergraph Corp. won a $2 million contract to provide a 911 emergency dispatch system for the Integrated Management Center at Fort Bragg, N.C., the company announced today.

Under a contract awarded by the Energy Department's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Intergraph of Huntsville, Ala., will work with the customer to design and implement a consolidated E911 system that will deliver emergency public safety services to Fort Bragg.

The system will have the capability to interconnect emergency alerts, integrate critical data and predict potential incidents. The system also will provide alerts over public safety mass notification networks for homeland security and public emergencies.

The new E911 facility also will help provide mutual aid and secondary dispatch notification operations for Pope Air Force Base and various city and county volunteer fire and rescue services in the Ft. Bragg vicinity.

Intergraph, a provider of spatial information management software, has about 3,700 employees and annual sales of $527.3 million.
