Air Force F-15 work goes to MTC Technologies

MTC Technologies Inc. won a five-year, $6 million task order from the Air Force to identify and provide solutions for information technology systems used by F-15 fighter pilots, the company said today.

The Air Force awarded the task order, consisting of one year and four one-year options, under its Warner Robins Air Logistic Center FAST contract. Besides manufacturing solutions to improve interaction between the F-15 aircraft fighter data link system and tactical air navigation transmission signals, MTC also will create prototype antennas, test systems and produce modified systems to retrofit the F-15 aircraft fleet as needed.

MTC will perform the work at its operations facility in Warner Robins, Ga. The company's team members include Arinc Inc. of Annapolis, Md., and Sensor Systems Inc. of Chatsworth, Calif.

Based in Dayton, Ohio, MTC provides engineering, technical and management services to the Defense Department and national security agencies. It employs approximately 2,000 workers in more than 30 locations and posted 2003 revenue of $188.7 million.
