New Romanian weather system
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency seeks feasibility studies for the Romanian National Meteorological Administration's Integrated Climatology, Agro-meteorological, Air Pollution Forecast and Warning, Computation and Training Center project, called Interoperate.
The project is part of the Romanian agency's efforts to modernize its agro-meteorological and forecast systems and processes and integrate them into a national system.
Interoperate will upgrade the meteorological administration's system infrastructure and add computing power, data storage capabilities and communications infrastructure for collecting, integrating and analyzing data generated by existing systems.
The work will be funded by a Trade and Development Agency grant. The contractor may use subcontractors from the host country for up to 20 percent of the grant amount. Responses are due by Oct. 25. Contact Evangela Kunene at ekunene@tda.gov.
AF seeks decontamination systems
The Air Force wants information on chemical and biological agent decontamination systems to clean the interiors and sensitive equipment of vehicles, ships, fixed-site facilities, mobile-maintenance facilities and aircraft that have been exposed to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear warfare agents and other toxic threats. The technology must offer improved performance or other potential benefits, such as reduced logistics burden, over currently fielded military systems. Re-sponses are due by Nov. 8.
