Four companies land Air Force Space Command work
Four companies will compete for $610 million worth of advisory and assistance services and engineering and technical assistance work from the Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
Four companies will compete for $610 million worth of advisory and assistance services and engineering and technical assistance work from the Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., the Air Force has announced.
The companies are bd Systems Inc., Torrance, Calif.; Booz Allen Hamilton Inc, McLean, Va.; Scitor Corp., Colorado Springs, Colo.; and SI International Inc. , Reston, Va. The task order contracts allow the two large and two small businesses to compete against each for work issued by the 21st Space Wing over a five-year period.
The companies will perform such tasks as management and professional services, engineering and technical services, and studies, analyses and evaluations.
The contractors will perform the work primarily in their own facilities, the Air Force said. However, they may perform services at Peterson Air Force Base or other government facilities as determined by the task order. The work will be completed by October 2009.
