ITT Industries nets $25 million in Navy work
ITT Industries Inc. won a five-year, $24.9 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command Weapons Division to provide engineering software support services, officials of the White Plains, N.Y., company announced Aug. 19.
ITT Industries Inc. won a five-year, $24.9 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command Weapons Division to provide engineering software support services, officials of the White Plains, N.Y., company announced Aug. 19.
ITT will support the Tactical Aircraft Electronic Warfare Integrated Program Team, located at Point Mugu and China Lake in California. The company's Avionics Division will provide software and systems engineering, support tools, facilities development and documentation.
The contract award shows ITT Industries' ability to be the prime contractor for Navy tactical electronic warfare systems management and analysis support, said Chris Bernhardt, president of the Avionics Division.
The Avionics Division's expertise includes electronic warfare system installation, integration, testing, training and customer support.
ITT Industries provides technology products and services in several markets, including fluid and water management; defense communication; information technology and services; and electronic interconnects and switches. The company employs 39,000 people and had revenue of $5.6 billion in 2003.
