Tier answers Georgia call for claims support
Tier Technologies Inc. has won a $2.9 million contract from the Georgia Department of Labor for voice-enabled unemployment claims processing.
Tier Technologies Inc. has won a $2.9 million contract from the Georgia Department of Labor for voice-enabled unemployment claims processing, the company announced today.
Tier's EPOS business unit will provide Georgia with a voice response system that uses natural speech recognition capabilities to assist claims processing.
In addition to providing telephone claims processing, the project includes voice-enabling applications for general information, continuing claims, payment inquiry, personal identification number maintenance, overpayment callout and job information.
The new system will replace several systems throughout the state.
Tier has provided the Georgia Department of Labor with telephony continuing claims processing since 1992. The Reston, Va.-based company has more than 830 employees and annual sales of $127.1 million.
