SI International nets Naval Air Command deal

SI International Inc. won a contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to develop and implement the Naval Depot Maintenance Systems Time and Attendance labor tracking application, officials of the Reston, Va., company announced July 15.

The competitively awarded task order is worth about $7.3 million over five years, according to the company. The task order includes a one-year base contract worth $1.4 million, and with four additional one-year option periods valued at $5.9 million.

Under the contract, SI International will provide programming, Web development, technical and software analysis support, information security, implementation and system testing, quality assurance, and user training.

When it is completed, the labor tracking application will be used by the naval depots and the U.S. Air Force's Air Logistics Centers to improve logistics support to war fighters, according to SI International.

SI International ranked No. 66 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime IT contractors. The company employs 1,300 employees and had $168.3 million in revenue in 2003.
