ManTech forms Netcents team

ManTech International Corp. announced the team for the U.S. Air Force's five-year $10-billion Network Centric Solutions program, the company said today.

Known as Netcents, the indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract is expected to be awarded by the end of the year. It will provide the Air Force, Defense Department and other federal agencies with IT products, solutions and services, including network engineering, software development, integration, information storage and management, security and telephone services, and voice, video and data communication products.

ManTech's team includes three large companies and 11 small businesses. The large companies are: BAE Systems Inc.; EMC Corp; and Qwest Communications Government Services Inc.

The small companies include American Systems Corp.; Apptis Inc.; Data Systems & Technology, Inc.; Engineering Professional Services Inc.; Excel Management Systems Inc.; Imagine One Technology & Management Ltd.; Integration Information Technology Corp.; Millennium Information Systems LLC; Mutual Telecommunications Services Inc.; Native American Industrial Distributors Inc.; and the Moore Group.

Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech provides technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs. Its federal clients included the Defense, Homeland Security, Justice and State departments and the intelligence community. The company employs more than 5,000 people and had 2003 revenue of $701.6 million. It ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
