As CIO, Ballam will manage the company's information technology infrastructure, including application systems development, networking, telecommunications, desktop support, electronic data interchange, server administration and Internet connectivity.
Ballam has served as acting CIO since January. He reports to Jack Littley, senior vice president of program and information services.

He joined GTSI in January 2003 as deputy CIO and helped reorganize the IT organization so it is more tightly integrated with GTSI's technology teams. Before joining GTSI, Ballam was chief business analyst for San Diego-based Titan Corp. There, he was responsible for development and support of enterprise resource planning. He also served on the boards that determined the information systems needs of Titan's business units.
