Dynamics Research Corp. realigns business units

Dynamics Research Corp. has consolidated and reorganized its operations to better grow its government business, executives of the Andover, Mass., company said today.

DRC combined several business units into two solutions-focused organizations: the Acquisition Management Services Group and the Systems Engineering and Information Technology Group. DRC is targeting three growth markets: national defense, homeland security, and health and human services, company officials said.

The Acquisition Management Services Group will focus on delivering DRC's acquisition management solutions primarily to the company's defense-related customers.

The Systems Engineering and Information Technology Group will focus on delivering DRC's automated case management, business transformation, business intelligence, network engineering and training solutions to the federal government and state and local governments.

DRC's business development organization was refocused on the company's six strategic business areas ? command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; health and human services; homeland security; logistics; military space; and readiness.

"I see this change as a win-win, benefiting both DRC and its customers," said James Regan, chairman and chief executive officer of DRC.

Several executives were promoted in conjunction with the realignment. They are:

• Dave Keleher, senior vice president, finance and administration


• Tom Kelly, senior vice president, systems engineering and information technology


• Bob Smith, senior vice president, acquisition management services


• Larry O'Brien, vice president, business solutions.
