The county's current purchasing card program with Bank One supports 330 cardholders in 27 business units and expires Sept. 1, 2005. The new program should cut paperwork, time and costs for purchases; be flexible enough to accommodate different buying patterns and volume requirements; delegate authority, control and accountability to the county while maintaining an audit trail; facilitate Web access to purchasing card data to manage and audit the program. Request for information responses are due by Aug. 31.
