Battelle gets $90M Army contract renewal

Battelle Memorial Institute won an Army contract renewal worth up to $90 million over five years, officials of the Columbus, Ohio, company announced today.

Under the contract, Battelle will provide training support, battle lab operations and analysis for the Army Maneuver Support Center, a training facility at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Battelle will serve the Maneuver Support Center and its Chemical School, Engineer School and Military Police School by providing general technical and analytical support, doctrine and training development, training support, force modernization support, battle lab operations, general test and evaluation support, and simulation and analysis, according to Battelle officials.

On the new contract, Battelle's team includes Advanced Systems Technology Inc. of Lawton, Okla., Clean Earth Technologies LLC of St. Louis, Mo., Concurrent Technologies Corp. of Johnston, Pa., Horne Engineering Services Inc. of Falls Church, Va., SYColeman of Arlington, Va., Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. of Huntsville, Ala., and Titan Corp. of San Diego.

Battelle is a nonprofit company that develops and commercializes technology and manages laboratories for government and commercial customers. Battelle, with the national labs that it manages or co-manages, oversees 16,000 staff members and conducts $3 billion in annual research and development.
