L-3 to help Marines with distance learning
L-3 Communications Corp. won a six-year, $50 million contract to design and develop distance-learning solutions for Marine Corps service members.
L-3 Communications Corp. won a six-year, $50 million contract to design and develop distance-learning solutions for service members at the Marine Corps College of Continuing Education.
L-3's government services division in Chantilly, Va., will provide Web-based development tools and databases for interactive courses and electronic performance-support tools. The tools will be available online and via other electronic means.
L-3's team includes D.P. Associates Inc. of Arlington, Va., Omega Training Group Inc. of Columbus, Ga., CACI International Inc. of Arlington, and TecAccess LLC of Rockville, Va.
L-3 of New York provides a range of technology-based services, support and products to federal, state and local governments and to the commercial sector. It ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors. The company employs 38,000 workers and had 2003 revenue of $5.1 billion.
