Fla. re-ups ACS for Medicaid broker services
ACS will continue to perform enrollment and disenrollment services for Florida's Medicaid Options Program.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a three-year, $20.4 million contract renewal from the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration to provide enrollment broker services for the Florida Medicaid Options Program, the company announced today.
Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will continue to perform enrollment and disenrollment services for the state's Medicaid Options Program, providing a statewide toll-free hotline where customer services representatives assist Medicaid beneficiaries with provider selection and enrollment processing.
ACS has served as the Medicaid enrollment broker for the Florida Medicaid Managed Care Program since 1998. The company currently provides a full-range of Florida's healthcare programs, including fiscal agent, pharmacy benefits management, and decision support services for the Medicaid program; operation of the Children's Health Insurance Program outreach hotline; and call center operations for the Agency for Health Care Administration's Complaint and Information Call Center.
The company supports 29 states with government healthcare services programs, processing 400 million Medicaid claims annually totaling more than $50 billion in payments.
