DigitalNet wins Air Force system networking contract

DigitalNet Holdings Inc. won the Air Force Materiel Command's Air Force System Networking contract.

DigitalNet Holdings Inc. of Herndon, Va., won the Air Force Materiel Command's Air Force System Networking contract, company officials announced this week. The three-year contract is worth $16 million.

DigitalNet has provided network computing, software development and maintenance services to the Air Force Materiel Command since 1992.

DigitalNet will continue to support the Air Force System Networking program office at the Standard Systems Group in Montgomery, Ala., modernizing portions of the Air Force's worldwide network communication infrastructure. The company will also manage Air Force classified and unclassified data networks meeting mission requirements of all Air Force, Guard and Reserve activities worldwide, according to DigitalNet officials.

Digital Net was ranked No. 34 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100, which ranks company by their prime federal contracts.
