Booz Allen to provide Navy communications
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. won a multiyear contract from the Naval Air Systems Command for systems and solutions in advanced software, voice, video, data and satellite communications technologies.
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. won a multiyear contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to provide tactical and nontactical systems and solutions in advanced software, voice, video, data and satellite communications technologies, the company said.
The five-year contract is valued at $68 million. McLean, Va.-based Booz Allen Hamilton and its team will support communications and electronics systems requirements for the military and other federal agencies.
Booz Allen Vice President Cindy Broyles said her group will perform research, design, development and special engineering services for Navair's Special Communications Requirements Division at St. Inigoes. Md. The Navy division is responsible for developing, testing and integrating communications systems for rapid deployment.
Booz Allen's teammates include Innovative Solutions Consulting Inc., Professional Software Engineering Inc., Sierra Management and Technologies Inc., Smartronix Inc. and York Telecom Corp.
The company has an ongoing relationship with Navair, through which it currently supports the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.
With 2003 revenues of $2.5 billion Booz Allen Hamilton ranked No. 10 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
