Bailey to manage Verizon Wireless federal sales

Marc Bailey has been tapped to lead federal sales for Verizon Wireless, officials of the Bedminster, N.J., company announced today.
Bailey, associate director of national federal sales, has more than 20 years of experience in government account management and sales and experience in the wireless industry. He understands the government's wireless communications needs and buying criteria, said Mike Maiorana, vice president of federal government operations for Verizon Wireless.
Bailey's staff of federal national account managers provides customer support on products and services, government pricing, billing and reporting, and overall account management.
Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone. According to Verizon Wireless officials, the company has the largest nationwide wireless voice and data network and 39 million customers. Verizon Wireless has 40,000 employees and 2003 revenue of $22.5 billion.
