Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., Sytex Inc., Arrowhead Global Solutions Inc. and Communications Technologies Inc. had the ceiling on their contracts with the Homeland Security Department expanded by $108 million, taking the ceiling from $64.5 million to $172.5 million.
The four companies compete with each other for task orders under a scientific integration and technical assistance contract for the National Communication System. DHS said the old ceiling was set before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, and that the contract now has to meet new requirements.
The contract expires in September 2006, but the old ceiling would have been reached at the end of March 2004.
