NCI Information Systems wins Air Force work

NCI Information Systems Inc. of Reston, Va., won a three-year, $4.3 million contract from the Air Force for aircraft maintenance intuitive troubleshooting, company officials announced today.

NCI Information Systems Inc. of Reston, Va., won a three-year, $4.3 million contract from the Air Force for aircraft maintenance intuitive troubleshooting, company officials announced today.

The contract was awarded by the Air Force Research Laboratory Human Effectiveness Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Under the research and development contract, NCI will investigate how technology can improve the diagnostic capability of maintenance technicians, enabling them to return aircraft to service faster. NCI will integrate, and present electronically, the information required by maintenance technicians to perform diagnostics. In its work, NCI will use enterprise data management, interactive electronic technical manual platforms and advanced diagnostic routines.

NCI's subcontractors include Lockheed Martin Corp. of Bethesda, Md., the University of Dayton Research Institute of Dayton, Ohio, and Total Quality Systems Inc. of Ogden, Utah.
