AMS wins Navy strategic consulting deal
American Management Systems Inc. of Fairfax, Va., has won a four-year, $55 million contract to provide professional support services to the Navy's CIO.
American Management Systems Inc. of Fairfax, Va., has won a four-year, $55 million contract to provide professional support services to the Navy's Chief Information Officer, the company announced today.
AMS will offer strategic consulting services and develop tools, including strategic plans, policy guidelines and tutorials. These will support Navy programs in enterprise architecture, information assurance, critical infrastructure protection, e-business, knowledge management, management of electromagnetic spectrum and investment planning.
R.M. Vredenburg and Co., an AMS' wholly owned subsidiary, will do the work, which will support the Navy's chief information officer in developing and disseminating strategy, plans and policies regarding information management and IT transformation efforts.
AMS has more than 6,300 employees and annual sales of $961 million. The company ranked No. 46 on Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
