Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a three-year extension of its information technology outsourcing services contract, valued at nearly $14 million, with Solano County, Calif.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a three-year extension of its information technology outsourcing services contract with Solano County, Calif., officials of the Dallas company announced today. The contract extension is valued at more than $13.9 million and runs through Dec. 31, 2006.
County Administrator Michael Johnson said the county's work with ACS is especially important as the county faces budget constraints.
"Our contract helps the county run effective IT operations ? while at the same time improving service delivery to Solano County citizens," Johnson said.
Under the extension, ACS will manage IT operations and provide IT services including operation and support of the county's data center, help desk support, applications support, network management, desktop support, geographic information services implementation, Web development and IT consulting services.
ACS has provided IT outsourcing services to the county since 1989.
"Long-term relationships such as the one with Solano County form the foundation of our growth," said John Brophy, group president of ACS State and Local Solutions.
ACS employs more than 40,000 people in nearly 100 countries and had revenue of $3.7 billion in fiscal 2003.
