Future Combat Systems training plan set

Northrop Grumman Corp. has been hired to develop training for the Army Future Combat Systems program office.

Under the seven-year, $23 million indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract, Northrop Grumman's IT unit will create enterprise training to support FCS requirements.

FCS, a $15 billion effort, will link 18 manned and unmanned advanced warfighting ground and air vehicles and sensors.

Boeing Co. and Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego are the program's lead systems integrators.

Northrop Grumman IT will work with Army officials, the integration teams and FCS systems developers to coordinate developing and implementing the program's training.

Work on the contract will be performed at company locations in Radcliff, Ky., Killeen, Texas, and Orlando, Fla.
