EDO wins Greek Navy contract

EDO Corp. will provide electronic support measures systems to frigates in the Greek Navy under a four-year, $10 million contract, the company announced today.

The New York-based company will supply six of its CS-3701 electronic support measures systems that will be installed on the ships as part of the Greek Navy's modernization program, the company said.

The equipment is used for precision direction-finding and provides situation awareness, targeting, self-protection and surveillance. The system monitors potential radar threats, even in difficult electromagnetic environments, allowing the ship's crew to quickly take defensive action, the company said.

The CS-3701 equipment will be manufactured at EDO's reconnaissance and surveillance systems unit in Morgan Hill, Calif. EDO's antenna products and technologies unit in Deer Park, N.Y., will supply associated circular array interferometer antennas, the company said.

EDO provides military products and professional services to the United States, United Kingdom and other allied governments.
