CACI gets defense payroll and personnel subcontract
CACI International Inc. has won a subcontract from Northrop Grumman Information Technology Inc. to assist the company in providing an integrated human resources system for the Department of Defense.
CACI International Inc. has won a subcontract from Northrop Grumman Information Technology Inc. to assist the company in providing an integrated human resources system for the Department of Defense, the company announced today.
The value of the subcontract was undisclosed.
Under the subcontract, CACI of Arlington, Va., will convert data and move applications from various legacy systems into the new Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System, or DIMHRS, environment.
CACI's experience with military manpower and personnel systems will facilitate program implementation and ensure the consistency and accuracy of service members' personnel information, the company said.
Northrop Grumman IT of Herndon, Va., is the prime contractor on the $281 million DIMHRS project. Once completed, the new system will allow service members to manage their pay and personnel information through one common, remotely accessible database.
CACI, a provider of IT and network solutions for defense, intelligence and e-government, has more than 5,500 employees and annual sales of $843 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
