CSC wins $88 million DHS Starlight award

Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., has won an $88 million task order to support border operations for the Homeland Security Department, CSC announced Wednesday.

CSC will support inspection systems over the seven-year task order. It was awarded under the DHS' Starlight contract, a multi-year contract for IT services worth up to $1.2 billion.

The contract is part of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which comprises parts of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Customs Service.

CSC will maintain and enhance software and hardware-embedded systems that process travelers crossing U.S. borders. The company will provide system maintenance and operations support.

CSC has supported the immigration agencies with software engineering services since 1998, according to the company.
