Schneider subsidiary wins Army Corps contract

A subsidiary of Schneider Electric SA, Rueil-Malmaison, France, won a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract worth up to $200 million to install and maintain automated building control systems for federal agencies, the company announced this month.

Under this five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, the American division of TAC, formerly Tour and Andersson Control, will install and maintain a variety of digitally controlled systems that monitor security, watch for fires and regulate ventilation, heating and air conditioning.

The work is part of the Army Corps of Engineers' basic duties of providing utility monitoring and control systems for the military, federal agencies, municipalities and educational institutions. The corps' Utility Monitoring and Control Systems office is the contracting body.
