Five win $200 million Army Corps of Engineers work
The Army Corps of Engineers' Engineering and Support Center has selected five companies for a five-year contract to install and maintain utility monitoring and control systems.
The Army Corps of Engineers' Engineering and Support Center has selected five companies for a five-year contract to install and maintain utility monitoring and control systems in federal facilities around the world.
The indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery contract is worth up to $200 million.
Under the terms of the contract, the companies will compete to provide engineering, installation and service support for controls, fire alarms, security, supervisory control and data acquisition, mechanical and electrical systems in federal facilities worldwide.
The contract is intended to offer federal agencies a way to procure and install needed facility systems while minimizing design processes, installation problems and construction delays.
The awardees are Johnson Controls Inc., Milwaukee; Siemens Corp., New York, the U.S. unit of Siemens AG of Germany; Select Energy Inc., Berlin, Conn.; TAC America Inc., Saddle River, N.J.; and D.E. Williams Electric Inc., Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
