FCC deal goes to AAC

The Federal Communications Commission's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, Auctions and Industry Analysis Division, picked AAC Inc. to provide integration services.

The contract's is for one year and has a value of $4 million; four one-year options bring the potential value to $21.4 million.

The FCC division is responsible for auctioning and licensing systems that allocate and assign wireless services, such as cellular and personal communications services. Under the terms of the contract, AAC of Vienna, Va., will provide systems integration services so data is available within the FCC and for industry, licensees and applicants.

Jim Francis, ACC president, said the company has been providing similar support services to the FCC since 1994.
