Retired Lt. Gen. Peter Cuviello, former Army chief information officer and director of command, control, communications and computers, has joined Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Mission Systems as vice president of information infrastructure.

Retired Lt. Gen. Peter Cuviello, former Army chief information officer and director of command, control, communications and computers, has joined Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Mission Systems as vice president of information infrastructure. Cuviello retired from the Army in July and was replaced by Lt. Gen. Steven Boutelle as CIO. At Lockheed Martin, he will focus on information management and integrated solutions for network-centric warfare.During his three-year stint at the helm of the Army's information programs and systems, Cuviello launched the Army Knowledge Online portal, a system that gives nearly 1.5 million users access to hundreds of Army pages and links.Cuviello will help guide Lockheed Martin's systems engineering and integration efforts for network-centric information and intelligence systems across space, aeronautics, electronics and IT platforms.
