Anteon to support undersea warfare systems

Anteon International Corp. will provide engineering and technical support services to the Navy's undersea warfare systems under a contract worth up to $25.8 million, officials of the Fairfax, Va., company announced today.

The contract, awarded by the Navy Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic, is for one year and nine option years. It is worth $25.8 million if all options are exercised.

Anteon will support Atlantic and Pacific fleet ships, Foreign Military Sales and shore facilities. Its services, including modernization and installation support, will help improve the readiness of Navy personnel, said Joseph Kampf, president and chief executive officer.

Anteon has supported Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic's undersea warfare systems for about 10 years, Kampf said.

Anteon employs about 7,200 people and had revenue of $826 million in 2002.
