ACS wins $100 million Air Force contract

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. of Dallas has won a $100 million contract from the Air Force to provide command and control support to selected Air Force aircraft, subcontractor MTC Technologies Inc. announced Sept. 18.

MTC of Dayton, Ohio, the sole subcontractor on the task order, will provide advisory and assistance work to ACS. The work was procured under the General Services Administration's Millennia Lite Contract.

For the Air Force's Air Combat Command, ACS and MTC will provide program support for the U-2S high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft, the RQ-4A unmanned aerial vehicle and the E-4B National Airborne Operations Center, a 747 airplane equipped with a mobile command and control center.

ACS was awarded initial funding of $11 million for two years. There are seven one-year options to the work.
